The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's track and field program finished third in a ten-team field at the annual Leonard "Squig" Converse Invitational hosted by the Warhawks Saturday.

Gracie Holland (Marshfield, Wis./Marshfield) led UW-Whitewater Saturday with a first-place finish in the pole vault. The returning indoor national champion in the event registered a height of 3.96 meters (12-11.75) - a mark that stands second in Division III this season. Teammate
Ella Maher (Rockford, Ill./Winnebago) added fifth-place points with a mark of 3.26 meters while
Zoe Jenks-Recker (Cottage Grove, Wis./Monona Grove) tied for seventh matching Maher's height.
Hannah Bilodeau (Machesney Park, IL/Harlem) and
Jacqueline Kornowski (Green Bay, Wis./Preble) finished back-to-back in the 200-meters. Bilodeau's 26.50 was good for second while Kornowski claimed bronze with a clocking of 26.67. Kornowski added a second top-eight finish with an 8.05 in the 60-meter dash to finish fifth.
Danielle Pouska (Algonquin, IL/Jacobs) added seventh-place points to the team total with a time of 8.14 in the event.
In the mile,
Katie Erb (Winnebago, Ill./Winnebago) and
Paige Fassbender (Slinger, Wis./Slinger) secured third and fourth places. Erb crossed the line in 5:17.41, just over two seconds ahead of Fassbender (5:19.51).
Ari De La Cerda (Milwaukee, Wis./Pewaukee) paced a contingent of three Warhawks to claim points for the team total in the 3,000-meters. De La Cerda posted a time of 10:39.22 to finish second.
Abbey Wedwick (Westby, WI/) was clocked in 11:05.90 for fourth and
Renee Forystek (Waukesha, WI/North) was sixth with a time of 11:13.80.
Lena Becker (Toulon, Ill./Stark County) added fifth-place points to the team total with a time of 9.51 in the 60 hurdles.
In the field events, Pouska,
Brynn Fuerstenberg (New Berlin, Wis./Eisenhower) and
Rebecca Lawrence (Rhinelander, Wis./Rhinelander) all finished among the top eight in the high jump. Pouska led the way with a height of 1.52 meters (4-11.75) to secure bronze. Fuerstenberg was fourth with a height of 1.52 meters and Lawrence's 1.47 meters was good for sixth.
Kenni Czarnecki (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) led the way in the throws. She finished second in the weight throw with a heave of 16.30 meters (53-5.75). Riley Elgas was the top Warhawk in the triple jump. Her leap of 10.68 meters (35-0.5) was sixth-best Saturday.
