The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's cross country teams each finished on top of the team leaderboard at the program's annual Tom Hoffman Invitational Saturday morning.
The Warhawk men were led by
Justin Krause (Ixonia, Wis./Pewaukee) as UWW swept the top five spots and nine of the top ten finishers in the men's race. Krause's 26:14.3 was followed by
Craig Hundley (Grayslake, IL/North) (26:14.9),
Gunner Schlender (Brillion, Wis./Brillion) (26:15.0),
Christian Patzka (Black Earth, Wis./Wisconsin Heights) (26:15.1) and
Dan Anderson (Eau Claire, Wis./McDonell) (26:15.2). The second wave of UWW men to cross the line were
Nick Hardin (Greenfield, Wis./Whitnall) in seventh (26:37.6) followed by
Chris Allen (Downers Grove, Ill./North) (26:46.0, Conner Murphy (26:49.4) and
Tucker Johnson (Poynette, Wis./Poynette) (26:52.2).

Abbey Wedwick (Westby, WI) led five Warhawk women to sweet places 4-8. Her time of 24:33.7 was followed by
Katie Erb (Winnebago, Ill./Winnebago) (24:35.7),
Paige Fassbender (Slinger, Wis./Slinger) (24:39.2),
Payton Scoggin (Kenosha, Wis./Indian Trails) (24:44.5) and
Jocelyn Ramirez (Jefferson, WI) (24:48.4).
Renee Forystek (Waukesha, WI/North) added a top 15 time of 26:07.1 while
Marlee Nichols () and
Miranda McNally (Downers Grove, Ill./North) crossed among the top 20 with times of 26:43.7 and 26:43.8 respectively.
