AVCA All-America Teams
Kirsten Anderson (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie), of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater volleyball team, has been selected to the Honorable Mention All-America Team by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.

The junior middle blocker was a force for the Warhawks at the net both offensively and defensively all season. Second in the league in hitting percentage, Anderson was efficient offensively hitting .345 this season, a mark that ranks 35
th in Division III. Her defensive numbers are even more impressive with 115 total blocks, ranked 16
th in the nation and second in the league only to teammate and fellow middle
Hannah Proctor (Durand, Ill./Durand).

A 2022 All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and All-Region pick, Anderson played in 33 matches this season hammering down 296 kills and serving up 24 aces in addition to the 115 total blocks.

Anderson bolstered the Warhawks perfect conference campaign wrapping up 2022 with an unblemished 7-0 mark to capture the program's 18
th regular season WIAC title. UWW went on to win its 17
th WIAC Tournament Title to claim the league's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. In the Warhawks' 33
rd national appearance, UWW advanced to the regional title match ending the season with a 27-7 mark.
At least one Warhawk has earned All-America honors each season since 2009 with the exception of 2020 when no honors were awarded due to the cancelation of the season. Anderson is the 40th UW-Whitewater player to earn All-America status since the program started in 1988.Â
