The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships in West Salem, Wisconsin Saturday. The Warhawk men finished second while the women were fifth.

UW-Whitewater's runner up finish for the men equals their finish from last season.
Christian Patzka (Black Earth, Wis./Wisconsin Heights) was the individual runner-up shaving 45 seconds off his fourth-place time from a year ago. He posted a time of 24:08 Saturday.
Gunner Schlender (Brillion, Wis./Brillion) was fourth, crossing the line in 24:37.
Justin Krause (Ixonia, Wis./Pewaukee) registered a time of 25:16 for 11
th.

Dan Anderson (Eau Claire, Wis./McDonell) finished just outside the top 15 with a time of 25:36 followed by
Nick Hardin's (Greenfield, Wis./Whitnall) clocking of 25:51 for 18
th. The top-20 runners earn All-WIAC honors. Hardin was UW-Whitewater's representative on the WIAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

Tommy Conklin (West Bend, Wis./East).

Two Warhawk women finished among the top 15Â led by
Ari De La Cerda (Milwaukee, Wis./Pewaukee) who finished 11
th. She cut over a minute off her time from last season for a clocking of 22:51.
Paige Fassbender (Slinger, Wis./Slinger) finished 14
th just nine seconds behind her teammate.

Payton Scoggin (Kenosha, Wis./Indian Trails) posted a time of 23:21 to finish 18
th to round out Warhawks earning All-WIAC honors followed by
Roxanne Temple (Ingleside, Ill./Grant Community) with a top 40 time of 24:24.
Katie Erb (Winnebago, Ill./Winnebago) also posted a top 40 finish recording a time of 24:48. Temple was selected as UW-Whitewater's representative on the league's All-Sportsmanship Team following the meet.
