The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater cross country program competed at the Jim Drews/Tori Neubauer Invitational hosted by UW-La Crosse Saturday. The Warhawk women took to the course first finishing sixth in a field of 29 teams. The UW-W men also finished sixth in a 28-team field.

Ari De La Cerda (Milwaukee, Wis./Pewaukee) led the Warhawk women registering a time of 22:58.55 to finish 15th.
Paige Fassbender (Slinger, Wis./Slinger) was three places back with a time of 23:00.54.
Payton Scoggin (Kenosha, Wis./Indian Trails) posted a top 30 time crossing the line in 23:25.83 while
Roxanne Temple (Ingleside, Ill./Grant Community) was clocked in 24:21.19 for a top 100 finish in a field of more than 360 runners.
Carleen Snow (Rio, Wis./DeForest) cut 15 seconds off her first half split in the back half of the race to cross the line in 24:45.18.
Jill Cavanaugh (Port Washington, Wis./Port Washington) and
Annika Burchell (DeKalb, Ill./DeKalb) also represented UW-Whitewater in the women's race with times of 25:14.51 and 25:24.07 respectively.
Justin Krause (Ixonia, Wis./Pewaukee) had the top time for the Warhawk men crossing the line in 24:56.29 to finish tenth.
Dan Anderson (Eau Claire, Wis./McDonell) was 16th at the meet with a time of 25:25.47.
Chris Allen (Downers Grove, Ill./North) (25:49.03),
Tucker Johnson (Poynette, Wis./Poynette) (26:30.36),
Tommy Conklin (West Bend, Wis./East) (26:32.78), and
Alex Metko (Brillion, Wis./Brillion) (26:33.54) were all among the top 100 runners in a field of over 400 competitors. Aiden Johnson,
Christian Seagren (Dixon, Ill./Dixon) and
Brandon Gang (Waukesha, Wis./West) also represented the Warhawks in the race.
UW-Whitewater will return to their campus course for the Warhawk Open Friday, October 21 in the program's final meet before the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships. The WIAC Championship is slated for Saturday, October 29 at Maple Grove Venues in West Salem, Wisconsin, the same venue the Warhawks competed at for the Drews/Neubauer Invitational.
