The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater bowling team ranks fifth out of 17 teams after the first day of the United States Bowling Congress Intercollegiate Team Championships (ITC) Sectional Qualifier at Stardust Bowl in Addison, Ill.

In five sets of four Baker games for a total of 20 Baker games, the Warhawks compiled a score of 3,751, just over 50 shy of fourth-place Baker.

Competition at the Addison Sectional resumes Sunday at 1:45 p.m. with 20 more Baker games. The top four teams from the sectional advance to the ITC national tournament, which is slated for May 5-8 in Wyoming, Mich.
