Baseball Reveals 2022 Schedule

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater baseball team has announced its 2022 schedule, which begins in early March.
 
The Warhawks, who were recently ranked No. 11 in the Collegiate Baseball 2022 Preseason NCAA Division III Poll, begin their new campaign March 3-5 with four games at Trinity (Texas), which is ranked 21st by Collegiate Baseball.
 
UW-Whitewater is set to visit Pensacola, Fla., on March 15-24 for a slate of non-conference games at Blue Wahoos Stadium, home to the Double-A Pensacola Blue Wahoos, who are owned by UW-W alum and philanthropist Quint Studer '73 MSE '78.
 
The Warhawks begin Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play March 26 with a home doubleheader against UW-Stevens Point. The twin bill is part of a four-game weekend set at Prucha Field at James B. Miller Stadium.
 
The remainder of the regular season schedule will play out in the same format. Remaining home series include UW-Oshkosh (April 2-3), Finlandia (April 23-24) and UW-Stout (April 30-May 1), while away series include UW-Eau Claire (April 9-10), UW-La Crosse (April 15-16) and UW-Platteville (May 6-7).
 
The WIAC Tournament is scheduled for May 12-14 at the site of the No. 1 seed. The NCAA Regionals will take place May 20-22, with the Super Regionals to follow May 27-29. The NCAA Championship (Division III World Series) is slated for June 3-8 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
 
UW-Whitewater claimed the WIAC regular season and tournament championships and finished as NCAA Whitewater Regional runner-up in 2021. The team posted a 40-7 record, including a 24-4 mark against league opponents during the regular season.
