University of Wisconsin-Whitewater volleyball senior Morgan Wardall (Merrill, Wis./Merrill) has been named third team Academic All-America® by the College Sports Information Directors of America for the 2021 season.
 
Wardall carries a 3.90 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale and will graduate this Saturday with a degree in communication with emphasis in public relations and a minor in general management. She was selected first team Academic All-District® by CoSIDA last month.
 
Wardall helped the Warhawks reach the second round of the NCAA Tournament and finish with a 27-3 record, including a 6-1 mark in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
 
Wardall garnered first team All-WIAC, first team American Volleyball Coaches Association Midwest Region and second team AVCA All-America accolades following a standout season at middle hitter. She finished second in the WIAC with a .350 hitting percentage and fifth in blocks with 82 (0.85 per set). Wardall tallied 199 kills (2.07 per set) and added 44 digs.
 
Wardall is a member of UW-Whitewater's Honor Society and is a three-year member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll. She earned All-American honors from the National Strength and Conditioning Association in 2020-21 for her commitment to strength and conditioning.
 
Wardall regularly volunteered with the team with residents at Fairhaven Senior Services. She collected several academic scholarships out of high school.
