The No. 16 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater bowling team remained 15th following the second day of competition at the Columbia 300 Music City Classic in Smyrna, Tenn.
The Warhawks posted a 3-2 record in Saturday's traditional games, downing No. 18 Adelphi and No. 7 Youngstown State to start the day before falling against No. 4 Vanderbilt. The team bested Central Intercollegiate Bowling Conference foe North Central before a defeat against No. 24 Lincoln Memorial to wrap up the day.
Sophomore
Caitlin Mertins (Racine, Wis./Park) led UW-Whitewater with a 961 over five games, good for a 192.20 average, and finished 44th out of a field of 186 bowlers. Senior
Kailee Tubbs (Flint, Mich./Davison) placed 51st overall with her 941 (188.20 average), and sophomore
Gaby Silva (Lindenhurst, Ill./Grayslake North) also finished among the top 100 with 818 pins (204.50 average), good for 91st.

Sam Knab (Antioch, Ill./Antioch) totaled 659 pins over three games (219.67 average) to finish 118th. Sophomore
Karlee Barton (Joliet, Ill./Joliet West) was 132nd with a 575 series over three games (191.67).
