The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's track and field teams traveled to three last-chance qualifying meets Friday.
Junior
Dwayne Ford (Racine, Wis./Case) won the 60-meter dash at UW-Platteville with a time of 6.92 seconds. He currently ranks among the top 15 in the nation with his career-best mark of 6.90.
Senior
Alex Duff (Oregon, Wis./Oregon) chopped one-one hundredth of a second off his season-best time in the 60-meter hurdles with an 8.17, good for a top 15 time in NCAA Division III.
At Carthage, junior
Daustin Martin (Jefferson, Wis./Jefferson) vaulted into the top 10 in the nation in the weight throw with his career-best 60-03.25 (18.37 meters), good for first place at the meet.
At Wartburg, the men's distance medley relay team of senior
Clinten Woerishofer (Appleton, Wis./North), freshman
Will Kaashagen (Cambridge, Wis./Cambridge), junior
Brian Kuehl (Geneva, Ill./Geneva) and junior
David Fassbender (Slinger, Wis./Slinger) posted a season-best time of 10:05.33 in the race, good for third place and a top 10 time in the nation.
On the women's side, sophomore
Kailey Reynolds (Whitewater, Wis./Whitewater) posted a 7.75 to win the 60-meter dash at UW-Platteville. She ranks among the top 15 in Division III with her season-best 7.73.
Sophomore
Sydney Rossow (West Bend, Wis./Kettle Moraine Lutheran) won the 60-meter hurdles in 9.10 seconds after recording a time of 9.06 in the preliminary race.
At Carthage, junior
Sydney Davidson (Elburn, Ill./Kaneland) registered her season-best 11-05.75 (3.50 meters) to place third in the pole vault.
The Pointer Final Qualifier is set for Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
