Bowling 15th After First Day at Columbia 300 Music City Classic

The No. 16 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater bowling team stands in 15th place after the first day of the Columbia 300 Music City Classic at Smyrna Bowling Center in Smyrna, Tenn.
 
The Warhawks totaled 4,555 pins in a handful of five-set Baker matches and averaged 182.2 pins per frame.
 
Three of UW-Whitewater's five losses on the day were by 11 pins or fewer. The team faced four nationally-ranked foes, including No. 14 Sacred Heart, No. 25 LIU Brooklyn, No. 10 North Carolina A&T State and No. 6 Maryland Eastern Shore.
 
The Wahrawks continue action Saturday with five traditional games starting at 9:30 a.m. Central Time.
