No. 18 Bowling 10th After First Day at PVAMU

The No. 18 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater bowling team posted two wins Friday on the first day of the Prairie View A&M Invitational at the International Training and Research Center (ITRC) in Arlington, Texas.
 
The Warhawks are 10th after the first day of competition, which included five sets of five Baker matches. The team totaled 4,698 pins, good for an average of 187.9.
 
After a victory over Prairie View A&M to start the day, UW-Whitewater was downed by three pins against No. 7 North Carolina A&T and later against No. 2 Sam Houston State.
 
The Warhawks recovered with a win over eighth-ranked Stephen F. Austin before suffering a loss against No. 17 Fairleigh Dickinson.
 
Saturday's five traditional matches are set for Saturday. UW-W will face No. 4 Arkansas State to start the day.
