The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's track and field teams competed at three different last chance meets over the last two days in their final regular season meets prior to next week's NCAA Outdoor Championships.
The Warhawks took part in North Central's Gregory Invitational, the UW-La Crosse Final Qualifier and the Augustana (Ill.) Midwest Twilight.
Two pole vaulters highlighted the night on the men's side at UW-La Crosse. Junior
Zach Jasinski (Sussex, Wis./Hamilton) broke his own school record with a height of 17-02.75 (5.25 meters), shattering his mark of 17-01.00 (5.21) from earlier this outdoor season. The result is also Jasinski's career best and is first in NCAA Division III.
Junior
Adam Schommer (Freedom, Wis./Freedom) vaulted into the top 20 in the nation with a personal record 15-10.00 (4.83 mters), good for second place overall at the meet and a tie for 16th in the nation.

Jake Schneider (Plymouth, Wis./Plymouth) and sophomore
Tyreik Thomas (Racine, Wis./Case) recorded a season-best time of 40.93, only three-tenths off a school record pace. The group's time currently ranks seventh in Division III.
On the women's side, senior
Brittany Sykes (Fort Atkinson, Wis./Fort Atkinson) posted a career-best toss in the discus with a 140-02 (42.72 meters), good for a spot among the nation's top 35.
