The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's track and field teams wrapped up their final last chance meet of the indoor season prior to next week's NCAA Indoor Championships Saturday at the Pointer Final Qualifier at UW-Stevens Point.
Junior
Adam Schommer (Freedom, Wis./Freedom) was the top finisher on the men's side, tying for second in the pole vault with a height of 14-10.00 (4.52 meters). Sophomore
Landon Zimmerman (New Glarus, Wis./New Glarus) finished third in the shot put with a 51-03.50 (15.63 meters), and freshman
Landon Keefover (Antioch, Ill./Antioch) placed third in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.44 seconds.
Sophomore
Daustin Martin (Jefferson, Wis./Jefferson) tallied a personal record mark of 56-01.25 (17.10 meters) in the weight throw, good for fourth place. Junior
Jake Schneider (Plymouth, Wis./Plymouth) placed fourth in the 200-meter dash in 22.64 seconds.
Sophomore
Jessie Braun (Wales, Wis./Kettle Moraine) won the 5,000-meter run with a personal-best time of 18:48.82. Sophomore
Sydney Davidson (Elburn, Ill./Kaneland) tied for fourth in the pole vault with a 10-09.00 (3.28 meters).
Qualifiers for next week's NCAA Indoor Championships in Boston are scheduled to be announced Sunday by 6 p.m. Central Time on NCAA.com.
