No. 10 Bowling Sixth After Day 2 at Vanderbilt

The No. 10 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater bowling team picked up four more wins Saturday on Day 2 at Vanderbilt's Music City Classic at Smyrna Bowling Center in Smyrna, Tenn.
 
After starting the day with a setback against No. 24 Youngstown State, the Warhawks downed Mount Aloysius, Monmouth, Howard and No. 9 St. Francis (Pa.) in traditional games.
 
UW-Whitewater stands sixth out of 29 teams through the first two days, totaling 9,879 pins, good for an average of 197.6 per game.
 
Senior Emma Kuhn (Texas City, Texas/Texas City) was the Warhawks' top finisher with an average of 214.40 in five traditional games, good for 12th out of 172 bowlers. Sophomore Mary Conneely (Des Plaines, Ill./Maine West) placed 39th with a 198.60 average in five games, and junior Kailee Tubbs (Flint, Mich./Davison) averaged a 193.60 in five games to finish 59th. Senior Brett Butschke (Watertown, Wis./Watertown) averaged a 187.67 in three games to place 132nd.
 
UW-Whitewater faces No. 6 Stephen F. Austin to start best-of-seven Baker bracket play Sunday. Competition begins at 8:10 a.m.
