The No. 10 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater bowling team recorded five wins without a loss Friday on the first day of Vanderbilt's Music City Classic at Smyrna Bowling Center in Smyrna, Tenn.
The Warhawks totaled 5,032 pins on the first day for a 201.3 average per Baker game, good for sixth place out of 29 teams.
UW-Whitewater topped No. 4 Arkansas State, No. 14 UAB, Elmhurst, No. 12 Tulane and Drury in five-game Baker sets.
The Warhawks continue tournament play with traditional games Saturday starting at 9:30 a.m. The team will face No. 24 Youngstown State, Mount Aloysius, Monmouth, Howard and No. 9 St. Francis (Pa.).
