UW-Platteville Results
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's track and field teams made its second-to-last push for nationally qualifying results Friday at the Carthage College Final Qualifier in Kenosha and the UW-Platteville Final Qualifying Meet in Platteville, Wis.
For the men, sophomore
Landon Zimmerman (New Glarus, Wis./New Glarus) tallied a personal record mark in the shot put, posting a toss of 52-05.50 (15.99 meters), good for second place at Carthage. The result is currently tied for 22nd nationally.
Junior
Zach Jasinski (Sussex, Wis./Hamilton), ranked second in the nation in the pole vault, finished second at Carthage with a height of 16-00.75 (4.90 meters).
At UW-Platteville, junior
Jake Schneider (Plymouth, Wis./Plymouth) won the 200-meter dash in 22.54 seconds, and sophomore
Dwayne Ford (Racine, Wis./Case) crossed the finish line first in the 60-meter dash in 6.97 seconds.
On the women's side, junior
Ashton Doll (Lancaster, Wis./Lancaster) won the high jump at UW-Platteville with her mark of 5-02.25 (1.58 meters).
At Carthage, sophomore
Sydney Davidson (Elburn, Ill./Kaneland) tied for first in the pole vault with a height of 11-04.25 (3.46 meters). Junior
Ally Bachara (Fox Lake, Ill./Grant) recorded a career-best 40-04.00 (12.29 meters), good for third place.
The Warhawks head to UW-Stevens Point Saturday for the Pointer Final Qualifier. Events begin at 10:30 a.m.
