The No. 13 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater bowling team posted a 3-1 record Friday on the first day of the Big Red Invitational at Victory Lanes in Lincoln, Neb.
 
The Warhawks finished the day in fourth place out of 10 teams with 4,066 cumulative pins, good for a 203.3 average per game.
 
UW-Whitewater topped third-ranked Nebraska to start the day before falling against No. 4 Arkansas State. The team finished the day with two more victories, besting Lincoln Missouri and No. 16 Central Missouri.
 
Competition resumes with traditional games Saturday at 8 a.m.
