The No. 13 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater bowling team wrapped up the second day of competition Saturday with a 7-3 record at Stephen F. Austin's Stormin' Ladyjack Classic at Texas Pro Bowl in Dallas.
The Warhawks topped three more nationally ranked teams in traditional games Saturday, downing No. 1 McKendree, No. 4 Arkansas State and 16th-ranked Central Missouri. The team dropped games against No. 5 Sam Houston State and No. 10 North Carolina A&T.
UW-Whitewater is in seventh place with 9,320 pins cumulatively, good for a 186.4 average.
With one more traditional game to play Sunday, senior
Emma Kuhn (Texas City, Texas/Texas City) ranks 10th out of 90 bowlers with a 205.60 average in five games, including a high of 234. Freshman
Jaelynn Hoehnen (Waukesha, Wis./West) is 23rd with a 192 average, and senior
Lauren Price (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) is 38th with a 185.60 average.
Sophomore
Kailee Tubbs (Flint, Mich./Davison) is 46th with a 181.80, and sophomore
Karlee Barton (Joliet, Ill./Joliet West) is 58th with a 185 average in three games. Sophomores
Mary Conneely (Des Plaines, Ill./Maine West) and
Peyton Attig (Oak Lawn, Ill./Harold L. Richards) each competed in one game, tallying scores of 164 and 136, respectively.
Play resumes Sunday at 8:30 a.m. with one traditional game followed by best-of-seven Baker bracket play.
