The No. 10 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater bowling team owns a 6-4 record and stands fifth after the second day of the three-day, 18-team McKendree Bearcat Hammer Open at St. Clair Bowl in Fairview Heights, Ill.
The Warhawks own a cumulative pinfall of 9,145 (182.9 per game), and will be the fifth seed in Sunday's bracket play. They'll face sixth-seeded Prairie View A&M to start best-of-seven Baker bracket play.
UW-Whitewater finished 3-2 for the second straight day on Saturday, defeating Dominican and Lewis while falling against No. 4 Nebraska and No. 12 Central Missouri in traditional games. The team was also awarded a win via bye.

Sam Knab (Antioch, Ill./Antioch) was the Warhawks' top performer, averaging a 186.20 over five games, good for 24th overall out of 111 bowlers. Junior

Kailee Tubbs (Flint, Mich./Davison) each bowled four games, averaging scores of 181.00 and 177.25, respectively. Attig placed 58th, while Tubbs finished in 60th.

Gaby Silva (Lindenhurst, Ill./Grayslake North) and senior
Rachel Baumann (Marengo, Ill./Marengo) competed in three games apiece. Purgett averaged a 186.00, good for 74th, and Silva averaged a 181.33, good for 77th. Baumann averaged a 163.00, good for 82nd.
Junior
Mary Conneely (Des Plaines, Ill./Maine West) averaged a 173.00 in two games, good for 91st, and freshman
Reagan Harold (DeKalb, Ill./DeKalb) rolled one game of 135, good for 108th.
