Gustavus Fall Invite Results
 
University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's tennis senior Gabi Kitchell (Wausau, Wis./D.C. Everest) split a pair of matches in singles play Sunday at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Midwest Regional Championships at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn.
 
Kitchell, the top seed in the singles draw, bested No. 5 seeded Maggie Riermann of Bethel (Minn.) 6-3, 6-3 to start the day before dropping a hard-fought 6-4, 2-6, 6-3 contest against No. 3 Ginger Valentine of Gustavus Adolphus. Valentine claimed the final three games of the third set to reach the final.
 
The Warhawks competed at both the ITA Midwest Regional and the Gustavus Fall Invite on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
