The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's track and field teams continued action Friday on the second day of the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships at UW-La Crosse.
Senior
Parker Witt (Appleton, Wis./Appleton North) and sophomore
Alex Duff (Oregon, Wis./Oregon) highlighted the day for the men. Duff qualified for the 110-meter hurdles final with the No. 2 mark among qualifiers, winning his heat with a 14.56 against the wind. He will also compete Saturday in the 400-meter hurdles final.
Witt registered the second-best time in the 100-meter dash, winning his heat with a result of 10.83 against the wind to punch his ticket to Saturday's final.
Sophomore
Christian Jackson (Milwaukee, Wis./Wauwatosa West), the school record holder in the 110 hurdles, placed 19th in the event after stumbling over the first hurdle in his preliminary heat.
Senior
DuVaun Goodlow (Plainfield, Ill./Central) placed 13th in the high jump with a height of 6-08.00 (2.03 meters).
On the women's side, junior
Abbie Felton (Burlington, Wis./Shoreland Lutheran) qualified seventh in the 400-meter dash, reaching Saturday's final with a mark of 55.30.
Junior
Celeste Madda (Crystal Lake, Ill./Central) finished 14th in the 100-meter dash, crossing the finish line in 12.62 seconds.
Inclement weather delayed the final four events on the track, which included the men's and women's 100-meter dash races, by three hours.
