Augustana Results
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's track and field teams posted their final marks Thursday heading into Saturday's announcement of the NCAA Outdoor Championship field.
The Warhawks competed at UW-La Crosse's NCAA Final Qualifier and the Augustana Twilight.
The 4x100-meter relay team of sophomores
Oren Henderson-Zintz (Madison, Wis./La Follette),
Jake Schneider (Plymouth, Wis./Plymouth), freshman
Dwayne Ford (Racine, Wis./Case) and senior
Parker Witt (Appleton, Wis./Appleton North) highlighted the night for the men, placing second in the event at UW-La Crosse with a 41.21, a time that stood 10th in NCAA Division III by night's end.
Sophomore
Alex Duff (Oregon, Wis./Oregon) improved his season best mark in the 110-meter hurdles with a 14.36 in the preliminary race, moving up to seventh in the nation.
The women's 4x400-meter relay team of sophomores
Ashley Tijerina (West Chicago, Ill./West Chicago),
Megan Hering (Black Earth, Wis./Wisconsin Heights), senior
Enyo Amet (Racine, Wis./Prairie) and sophomore
Abbie Felton (Burlington, Wis./Shoreland Lutheran) surged into the top 10 in the nation with a result of 3:49.41 at UW-La Crosse. The time currently ranks seventh in the country.
Qualifiers for next week's NCAA Championships are scheduled to be announced via press release Saturday at 8 a.m. on
NCAA.com.
