The University of Wisconsin- Whitewater bowling team finished sixth out of 18 teams at the end of the first day at the United States Bowling Congress Sectional Qualifier in Fairview Heights, Ill.
 
The Warhawks collected 3,181 pins during the first 16-game block of the day and finished the day with a cumulative total of 6,307 pins out of 32 games on Saturday.  The team averaged a 197.2 per game on the day.

The Warhawks resume play Sunday at 7:45 a.m.
