The No. 20 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater bowling team knocked off two top 10 ranked opponents Friday on its way to a 3-2 record on the first day of the Stephen F. Austin's Stormin' Ladyjack Classic at Copperfield Bowl in Houston, Texas.
 
The Warhawks stand fifth after the first day of competition, which included five Baker games, with a total of 4,845 pins, or 193.8 per Baker game.
 
UW-Whitewater bested Bethune-Cookman, No. 4 Vanderbilt and No. 9 Tulane while falling against No. 5 Sam Houston State and top-ranked Nebraska.
 
Competition continues Saturday with traditional games starting at 9:25 a.m.
