The UW-Whitewater men's tennis team won a pair of duals at Premier Tennis and Fitness Saturday afternoon against Carroll College and Millikin (Ill.).  The victory against Millikin (Ill.) gave head coach Frank Barnes his 300th dual match win as men's tennis head coach.

The No. 38 Warhawks (3-2) took down both Carroll University and Millikin (Ill.) 9-0 in the home doubleheader.

The Warhawks didn't drop a single set against Carroll on their way to victory.  Freshman Robert Rider (Annapolis, Md./South River) and sophomore Matthew Primozic (Elkhart Lake, Wis./Plymouth) delivered a 8-0 victory in the no. 3 doubles match.  In no. 6 singles, sophomore Lucas Monterroso (Montevideo, Uruguay/Colegio Jesus Maria) didn't give up a single game in a 6-0, 6-0 victory against Mitchel Gjerseth.

Against Millikin (Ill.), senior Zane Navratil (Racine, Wis./The Prairie School) and junior Jimmy Engelhart (Brookfield, Wis./East) (Brookfield, Wis./East) won the No. 1 doubles match in a highly-contested 9-7 pro-set, clinching a doubles sweep for the Warhawks.  Later in singles, Navratil and Engelhardt both claimed tiebreaker sets in the Nos. 1 and 2 matches, respectively, to finish the second 9-0 dual victory of the day.  Sophomore Zach Wood (Downers Grove, Ill./South) delivered his second win of the day in the fifth singles slot, while senior Matt Zurowski (West Bend, Wis./East) claimed the no. 3 singles match 6-2, 6-3.

The Warhawks will be back in action next weekend hosting the Warhawk Invite at Premier Tennis and Fitness in Janesville.  Their first match of the weekend will be at 11 a.m. versus Ohio Wesleyan.
