The UW-Whitewater men's cross country team continued its 2017 season Friday night at the Blugold Invitational. The team finished sixth out of 13 teams.
Senior
Brett Harms (Whitewater/Whitewater, Wis.) led the Warhawks with a fifth place finish and a time of 25:14.6. Freshman
David Fassbender (Slinger, Wis./Slinger) ran the course in 26:13.7 for a 32nd place finish. Senior
Alec Meixelsperger (Middleton, Wis./Middleton) and Freshman
Kyle Neuroth (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) ran within two seconds of each other, with a 26:23.5 and a 26:24.6 respectively. Meixelsperger placed 37th, while Neuroth finished 38th.
Junior
Todd Noreen (Dundee, Ill. / Dundee-Crown) continued the scoring with a 57th place finish and a time of 26:48.5. Sophomore
Seth Zimdars (Ripon, Wis. / Ripon) ran the course in 27:11.8, good for 66th. Rounding out the scoring for the Warhawks was junior
Jeremy Mogan (Tinley Park, Ill./Tinley Park) with a time of 27:16.6 for 68th place.
The Warhawks will be back in action on October 14th at the Cowbell Classic, hosted by Principia College.
