The No. 13 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater bowling team placed fourth and owned an 8-2 record over the weekend at the University of Nebraska's nine-team Big Red Invitational at Sun Valley Lanes in Lincoln, Neb.
The Warhawks finished up play Saturday with best-of-seven Baker game victories over Maryville and No. 1 ranked McKendree.
UW-Whitewater totaled 11,753 pins in 58 games, good for an average of 202.64 per game.

Taylor Hoppe (Rockford, Ill./Thomas Jefferson) finished third out of 52 bowlers in the individual standings with a 236.2 average in five traditional games, including top performances of 266 and 279, the best on the team during the weekend.

Amanda Van Duyn (Kenosha, Wis./Kenosha Bradford) averaged a 210, good for 11th overall, and sophomore
Lauren Price (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) was close behind with a 202, good for 14th. Senior
Ashleigh Miller (Zion, Ill./Zion-Benton Township) placed 30th with a 178 average.
The Warhawks return to action next Saturday and Sunday, March 11-12, at the United States Bowling Congress Addison (Ill.) Sectional.
