No. 13 Bowling Places Seventh at Music City Classic

The No. 13 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater bowling team won two of three best-of-seven Baker matches Sunday to place seventh at the three-day, 35-team Music City Classic in Smyrna, Tenn.
 
The Warhawks bested No. 9 Delaware State in four, fell against sixth-ranked Fairleigh Dickinson in seven and recovered for another win over Delaware State, this time in seven games.
 
For the weekend, UW-Whitewater finished with a 7-5 record and a cumulative pin fall of 13,068, good for an average of 192.2 per game. The team enters the postseason with a total record of 59-36.
 
The Warhawks clinched a spot in the United States Bowling Congress Intercollegiate Team Championships on April 19-22 by winning the USBC Addison (Ill.) Sectional last weekend.
 
UW-Whitewater will find out if it has been selected to participate in the eight-team NCAA Championship during a live selection show on Wednesday, March 29, at 3 p.m. Central Time. The show will be streamed live on NCAA.com.
 
Both tournaments will be played in Baton Rouge, La.
