Bowling First After 5-0 Day at Crusader Challenge

The No. 11 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater bowling team posted five victories on Saturday and is in first place heading into the final day of Valparaiso's Crusader Challenge at Lynwood Bowl in Lynwood, Ill.
 
The Warhawks averaged 179.8 pins per Baker game and carry a cumulative total of 4,494 pins heading into Sunday's final round, which includes five traditional games.
 
"The lanes were difficult and strikes were hard to come by, but the team was able to dig deep and pick up their spares," head coach Leann Sullivan said.
 
UW-Whitewater downed Valparaiso, Aurora, North Central, Augustana (Ill.) and Elmhurst in successive games to improve to 9-9 on the season.
