The No. 11 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater bowling team defeated No. 21 St. Francis Brooklyn 4-2 in its third best-of-seven Baker game of the day Sunday to close out McKendree's Brunswick Bearcat Open at St. Clair Bowl in Fairview Heights, Ill.
 
The win helped the Warhawks place 19th at the season-opening tournament.
 
Earlier in the day, UW-Whitewater fell in seven games against Valparaiso and in five games against Maryville.
 
The Warhawks head to Valparaiso's Crusader Challenge next Saturday and Sunday at Lynwood Bowl in Lynwood, Ill.
