The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed Saturday against Beloit and Illinois Tech in a tri-meet at Illinois Tech.
 
Senior Andrew Langenhahn (Appleton/Appleton East) and junior Chandler Lewis (Cedarburg, Wis./Cedarburg) led the Warhawk men with first-place finishes in individual events. Langenhahn won the 200-yard breaststroke with a 2:16.46, and Lewis touched the wall first in the 200-yard backstroke with a 1:58.59.
 
Freshmen Jordan Kreitzman (Milwaukee, Wis./Rufus King) and Jake Herlache (West Bend, Wis./Grafton) finished second in the 1000-yard freestyle and 200-yard freestyle, respectively. Kretizman touched the wall in 10:25.10 in the 1000, and Herlache finished the 200 in 1:49.15. Herlache added a runner-up finish in the 100-yard freestyle with a 48.74.
 
Junior Jonathan Jaworski (Waukesha, Wis./South) led a 2-3-4 finish for the Warhawks in the 50-yard freestyle, completing the race in 22.40 seconds. Freshman Zach Noll (Peoria, Ill./Dunlap) placed second in both the 200-yard individual medley with a 2:03.10 and the 500-yard freestyle with a 4:58.26.
 
The men were also victorious in the 200-yard medley relay, which included junior Peter Loftus (Janesville, Wis./Craig), Langenhahn, junior Thomas Stigler (Milwaukee, Wis./Muskego) and sophomore Ben Breitenbucher (La Grange, Ill./Lyons Township), who combined for a result of 1:40.15.
 
Senior Steven Missak (Naperville, Ill./Naperville North), Herlache, Loftus and Breitenbucher combined to win the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:28.63.
 
The Warhawk women went 1-2 in the 50-yard freestyle as sophomore Renata Schlomann (New Berlin, Wis./Divine Savior Holy Angels) touched the wall in 24.81 seconds and was followed closely by senior Michaela Matthys (Crystal Lake, Ill./McHenry West), the runner-up in a time of 25.49.
 
Freshman Olivia Theobald (Peoria, Ill./Dunlap) claimed top honors in the both the 500-yard freestyle and the 1000-yard freestyle with times of 5:29.85 and 11:09.79, respectively. Sophomore Bailey Weston (Fort Atkinson, Wis./Fort Atkinson) finished as runner-up in the 100-yard freestyle in 57.22 and the 200-yard freestyle in 2:03.00.
 
Sophomore Alexis Olson (Marengo, Ill./Marengo) and freshman Skyler Budny (Wheaton, Ill./Glenbard South) placed 1-2 in the 200-yard individual medley. Olson finished the race in 2:22.82, and Budny posted a time of 2:24.84.
 
Sophomore Anna Wolf (Blanchardville, Wis./New Glarus) won the 200-yard butterfly in 2:20.91.
 
The women's 200-yard medley relay of Schlomann, sophomore Alexis Olson (Marengo, Ill./Marengo), Matthys and sophomore Madeline Carroll (Downers Grove, Ill./North) placed first with a mark of 1:54.73 to win the relay by nearly eight seconds.
 
The 200-yard freestyle relay of Schlomann, Carroll, Weston and Matthys also placed first, recording a mark of 1:43.55.
 
Both UW-Whitewater teams return to action Friday at Carroll. Meet time is 6 p.m. in Waukesha, Wis.
