The No. 11 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater bowling team posted two wins in traditional games Saturday on the second day of the three-day Brunswick Bearcat Open hosted by McKendree University at St. Clair Bowl in Fairview Heights, Ill.
 
The Warhawks bested Drury and Aurora (Ill.) and fell against No. 6 Stephen F. Austin and No. 8 Fairleigh Dickinson.
 
Through 10 games on the weekend, UW-Whitewater is averaging 173.9 pins per game.
 
Senior Sarah Paasch (Sheboygan, Wis./Sheboygan North) finished as one of three Warhawks among the top 50 out of 177 bowlers. She averaged a 185.2 in five traditional games.
 
Junior Lauren Price (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) placed 45th with a 183.40, and junior Emma Kuhn (Texas City, Texas/Texas City) finished 50th with a 180.40.
 
Senior Jessica Nannemann (Waterford, Wis./Waterford Union) averaged a 154.00 in three games, good for 113th overall, and junior Brett Butschke (Watertown, Wis./Watertown) and sophomore Kailee Tubbs (Flint, Mich./Davison) finished 132nd and 133rd, respectively, with averages of 166.00 and 161.00 in two games apiece.
 
Freshman Peyton Attig (Oak Lawn, Ill./Harold L. Richards) rolled matching scores of 146 in two games, and freshman Karlee Barton (Joliet, Ill./Joliet West) rolled a 155.
 
UW-Whitewater will face Valparaiso Sunday to open play in best-of-seven Baker games.
