The Men's cross country team hosted the WIAC Conference Championship on a chilly Saturday afternoon. The team finished fifth out of eight teams in the race.
Senior
Brett Harms (Whitewater, Wis./Whitewater) led the Warhawks with a seventh place finish and a course time of 25:15.5. Freshman
David Fassbender (Slinger, Wis./Slinger) followed with a 26:13.3, good for a 26th place finish. Running with a 26:19, junior
Jonah Nelson (Dodgeville, Wis./Dodgeville/Mineral Point) finished 28th. Senior
Alec Meixelsperger (Middleton, Wis./Middleton) and freshman
Kyle Neuroth (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) ran within three seconds of each other, with a 26:28 and a 26:30.8 respectively. Meixelsperger finished 33rd, while Neuroth placed 35th.
Junior
Todd Noreen (Dundee, Ill./Dundee-Crown) continued the scoring for the Warhawks with a time of 27:09.2 and a 45th place finish, while freshman
Connor Hackett (Darlington, Wis./Darlington) rounded out the scoring with a 47th place finish and a course time of 27:11.5.
The Warhawks will be back in action in two weeks on November 11th for the NCAA Midwest Regional, hosted by Augustana College (Ill.).
