Final Results
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's track and field team added four more season bests to their performance at the 2016 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships Saturday. The Warhawks, the host of the event, tallied nine season best marks on Friday and finished fourth out of eight teams with 90.33 points. UW-La Crosse won the title for the fifth straight season.

Genny Stringer led the Warhawks on day two, earning nine points for her team. She notched six of those points with a third place finish in the discus throw recording a distance of 147' 6" (44.95m). She added three more points with a sixth place finish in the shot put turning in a mark of 41' 1" (12.52m). Teammates
Amanda Strupp (Slinger, Wis./Slinger) and
Brittany Sykes (Fort Atkinson, Wis./Fort Atkinson) finished sixth and eighth, respectively, in the discus.
Meredith Heller (Hales Corners, Wis./Whitnall) and
Candice Wayne (West Bend, Wis./West) chipped in fourteen more team points by finishing second and third in the 400 meter hurdles. Heller's time of 1:01.79 is a school record.

The women also had three fourth place finishes. The first was from
Celeste Madda (Crystal Lake, Ill./Central) in the 200 meter dash with a season best time of 25.39. The 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams also finished in fourth place. The 4x100 squad of
Chelsie Bence (Oconomowoc, Wis./Oconomowoc),
Aisha Coleman (Janesville, Wis./Craig),
Brianna Frey (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) and Madda clocked a season best time of 48.23.

Frey and Madda also made their way to the podium in the 100 meter dash. Frey finished fifth and Madda sixth, both recording a season best time of 12.18.

Megan Linse (Jefferson, Wis./Jefferson) and
Haley Precia (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls) finished 6-7 in the 100 meter hurdles. Linse crossed the line in a season best time of 15.07.

Leah Richter (Fond du Lac, Wis./Fond du Lac),
Tyler Henderson (Madison, Wis./Verona) and
LaBreya Johnson (Beloit, Wis./Memorial) also made their way to the awards stand on the final day of competition. Richter finished sixth in the 400, Henderson seventh in the triple jump and Johnson eighth in the 200.

UW-W will travel to three more meets this season with the opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships. The complete list of qualifiers for the 2016 NCAA DIII Championships will be released on Saturday, May 21 at 8 am on NCAA.com.
