Warhawk Women Tie for 39th at NCAA Outdoor Meet

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's track and field team tied for 39th at the three-day NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa.
 
The Warhawks tallied seven points for the weekend.
 
All points were scored Thursday in the discus throw as juniors Genny Rose Stringer (Assumption, Ill./Assumption) and Amanda Strupp (Slinger, Wis./Slinger) placed fourth and seventh, respectively, in the event. Stringer and Strupp are both two-time All-Americans during their careers.
 
Strupp competed in the hammer throw Saturday, placing 17th with a toss of 163-06 (49.85 meters).
 
Junior Meredith Heller (Hales Corners, Wis./Whitnall) and senior Candice Wayne (West Bend, Wis./West) competed Thursday in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing 11th and 16th, respectively.
