Women's Bowling Competes at UCM Invitational

The No. 10 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's bowling team competed in the University of Central Missouri Invitational over the weekend.
 
The tournament was set up with two traditional team matches followed by a best of seven championship bracket where it was double elimination.
 
The Warhawks opened the tournament on Friday against Elmhurst in two traditional team matches. UW-Whitewater and Elmhurst both won a game apiece.
 
Following the two traditional team matches, the Warhawks took on No. 7 ranked McKendree University where they fell in five matches 1-4.
 
UW-Whitewater looked to get revenge against No. 23 ranked Elmhurst on Saturday morning but ended up falling and were eliminated from the tournament.
 
McKendree University went on the win the tournament by defeating No. 6 ranked Central Missouri in the championship match.
 
Following bracket play, Junior Amanda VanDuyn (Kenosha, Wis./Kenosha Bradford) was named to the All-Tournament Team.
 
UW-Whitewater will wait to see if they are selected to compete at the NCAA Championships which takes place on April 14-16th in New Brunswick, N.J. The selection show is set to take place on Wednesday, March 30, at 3 p.m. Central Time on NCAA.com.
