Related Links:Results The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's track and field team competed Saturday in its final tune-up prior to next week's Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Championships.
The Warhawks placed second at the seven-team UW-Oshkosh Titan Challenge with 129.5 points. UW-Oshkosh was first with a total of 151 points.
Junior
Genny Rose Stringer (Assumption, Ill./Assumption) won the shot put with a career-best toss of 43-02.50, the team's highest mark of the season. Stringer also placed third in the weight throw with a 54-10.75.
Senior
Tyler Henderson (Madison, Wis./Verona) posted two of the team's top results of the season. She won the triple jump with a leap of 37-00.25 and placed third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.49.
Sophomore
Erika Sternard (Cary, Ill./Cary-Grove) tied for first in the high jump with a mark of 5-02.50.
Junior
Amanda Strupp (Slinger, Wis./Slinger) and freshman
Haylee Martin (Wilmot, Wis./Wilmot Union) were runners-up in the weight throw and the triple jump, respectively. Strupp finished with a 54-10.75 in the weight throw, while Martin recorded a result of 34-03.00 in the triple jump.
Junior
Meredith Heller (Hales Corners, Wis./Whitnall) posted the team's best result of the year in the 400-meter dash, crossing the finish line in 58.71 seconds, good for third place.
Junior
Emma Glogovsky (Elkhorn, Wis./Elkhorn) tallied the team's top pole vault of the season, finishing third with a result of 11-03.00.
Sophomore
Mara Wiebke (Onalaska, Wis./Onalaska) was third in the 1-mile run with a time of 5:33.45.
Competition at next week's WIAC Indoor Championships begins Friday at 11:30 a.m. and continues Saturday at 9 a.m.
