Bowling Sixth after Day One of Warhawk Classic

Kenosha, Wis. – The No. 7 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's bowling team stands in sixth place out of ten teams through day one of competition at the Warhawk Classic.
 
The Warhawks tallied a 1-4 record in five baker matches. UW-Whitewater's cumulative score of 4,774 was 156 pins shy of University of Nebraska-Lincoln who is currently in fifth place.
 
No. 5 University of Central Missouri leads the tournament with a total of 5,103.
 
UW-Whitewater dropped its first four matches of the day before rebounding in their final match of the day. The Warhawks were defeated by No. 8 Stephen F. Austin by a score of 965-1,062. In their next match of the day against Elmhurst University the Warhawks lost by a score of 920-1,010.
 
In their next match of the day the Warhawks lost to the tournament leaders by a score of 987-1,034. In their fourth match of the day against Adelphi University the final match score was 970-1,040. The Warhawks defeated No. 6 McKendree University 932-866 in their final match of the day.
 
Action resumes tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m. central standard time with five traditional matches. Check back tomorrow afternoon to see how the Warhawks finished on day two.
