Bowling Drops to Eighth After Day Two of Warhawk Classic

The No. 9 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's bowling team dropped to eighth place out of 17 teams at the Warhawk Classic hosted at Sheridan Lanes in Kenosha, Wis.
 
The Warhawks finished the second day of competition with a 3-2 record and moved them to 5-4 overall for the tournament. UW-Whitewater competed in five traditional matches and now have a cumulative two-day total of 9,584.
 
No. 3 Arkansas State University moved into first place after two-days of competition with a team score of 10,643.
 
UW-Whitewater opened the day with a victory over No. 10 Fairleigh Dickenson University by a score of 966-916. The Warhawks were defeated by Maryville University in a close match 870-889. In their third match of the day UW-Whitewater lost to Valparaiso University by a score of 865-883.
 
The Warhawks bounced back in their fourth match of the day defeating No. 4 Vanderbilt University by a score of 1,010-955. In the fifth and final match of the day, UW-Whitewater took down Lincoln University (Mo.) by a score of 1,040-645.
 
Action resumes tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. central standard time. UW-Whitewater will face No. 10 Fairleigh Dickenson University in the first round of the Championship Bracket.
