Bowling sits in Seventh after Day One at the FDU Jamboree

The No. 9 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's bowling team sits in seventh place out of 27 teams at the Fairleigh Dickenson University New Jersey Jamboree in North Brunswick, New Jersey.
 
The Warhawks finished with a 1-4 record on the opening day of five-game baker matches. UW-Whitewater finished with a cumulative score of 4,560 and was 42 pins shy of No. 19 Adelphi University who sits in sixth with 4,602.
 
No. 10 Fairleigh Dickenson University leads the tournament with a team score of 4,981.
 
UW-Whitewater opened the day with a defeat against Adelphi University by a score of 895-937. The Warhawks dropped their next match against the tournament host Fairleigh Dickenson University by a score of 936-1,077.
 
The Warhawks bounced back in their third match of the day against Morgan State. UW-Whitewater defeated the Bears by a score of 871-789. In the next match against Sacred Heart, the Warhawks lost a close match by a final score of 945-979.
 
In the final match of the day, UW-Whitewater dropped another close match against Caldwell University by a final score of 913-932.
 
The Warhawks will be back in action tomorrow morning for the second day of competition at the Fairleigh Dickenson University Jamboree. Check back tomorrow afternoon for day two results.
