Megan Humphreys (Kenosha/Tremper) will compete for the singles championship and paired with sophomore
Gabi Kitchell (Wausau, Wis./D.C. Everest) to finish fourth in doubles Friday at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Oracle Cup in Surprise, Ariz.
Humphreys reached the title match in the Division III singles draw with a decisive 6-4, 6-2 triumph over top-seeded Caroline Casper of Pomona-Pitzer (Calif.). She'll face No. 2 seeded Bridget Harding of Emory (Ga.) Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Central Time.
With a win in the final, Humphreys would advance to play in the women's singles Oracle Cup, where she would face singles winners from the Division II, NAIA and Junior College draws.
Humphreys and Kitchell wrapped up their tournament in doubles with a 7-5, 6-7, 1-0 (10-8) setback against No. 3 seed Kaylan Griffith and Rebecca Ho of Washington-St. Louis in the third-place match.
