The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's tennis team finished their spring trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina with a doubleheader sweep against DePauw University on Wednesday.

The men's team picked up their doubles point winning the first two flights. Gavin Kelleher (Brooklyn, Minn./Champlin Park) and Charles Morgan (Naperville, Ill./Central) took a 6-3 victory at the second flight. Theo Billson (Lindfield, England/BHASVIC) and Carter Michaels (Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Eagan) secured the point at the top flight with a win in the tiebreaker 10-8.

Theo Billson (Lindfield, England/BHASVIC) started the singles matches with a win, overcoming a 4-6 first set to win the match in the tiebreaker. Carter Michaels (Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Eagan) won the fourth flight in tiebreaker fasion as well, overcoming a 2-6 first set. DePauw picked up the next two flights, but Keith Moeller (Dallas, Tex./DKM-I University Prep) clinched the match with a straight set win at the 6th singles flight. 

The women started their match with the doubels point as well. Gracie Ha (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) and Abigail Weaver (Wakarusa, Ind./Mishawaka Marian) only dropped one game at the top flight with Alex Repplier (Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park) and Kaitlyn Remke (Johnsburg, Ill./Marian Central) taking the third flight 6-4. 

The women went on to clinch the match winning the three single matches for the dual clinch. Abigail Weaver (Wakarusa, Ind./Mishawaka Marian) won in straight sets at the top flight, taking the first set in a tiebreaker. Gracie Ha (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) also won in straight sets, only dropping two games, both in the second set. Molly Asfeld (Waukesha, Wis./West) took her match to clinch the dual. Asfeld won her first set in a tiebreaker, then the second with a straight 6-0 win.

Wednesday Recap | Women lost to Colby, 7-0 | Men def. Augustana 4-3
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's tennis continued their spring break in Hilton Head, South Carolina with a doubleheader. The men's team start the morning against Augustana, defeating the Vikings 4-3. The women's team face off against #37 Colby College falling 7-0 on Wednesday.

The Warhawk men picked up their doubles point with a win at the first and third doubles flight. Julius Jonsson (Kungsbacka, Sweden/Aranäsgymnasiet) and Keith Moeller (Dallas, Tex./DKM-I University Prep) took the first match of the day with a 6-3 victory at the third flight. Theo Billson (Lindfield, England/BHASVIC) and Carter Michaels (Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Eagan) secured the first team point against the Augustana top pair 6-3. 

Charles Morgan (Naperville, Ill./Central) took the second singles flight in straight sets, only dropping three games over the two sets. Theo Billson (Lindfield, England/BHASVIC) and Gavin Kelleher (Brooklyn, Minn./Champlin Park) also picked up their two single matches at the first and fifth flights respectively to reach the four-point threshold. Augustana come away with the remaining three singles flights, but the Warhawks took the match 4-3.

On the women's side, UWW faced 37th-ranked Colby College. The Mules took the early point, sweeping the doubles flights. Colby picked up the first four single matches as well to clinch the match.

Gracie Ha (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) overcame a 2-6 first set with a 6-0 second set to force the third set tiebreaker. In the tiebreaker, Ha and her Colby opponent stayed even, but Colby won the last two rallies to take the tiebreaker. 

At the top singles flight, Abigail Weaver (Wakarusa, Ind./Mishawaka Marian) opened her match with a 7-5 first set, but fell in the second to force a third set tiebreaker. Colby's Ella Novion took the close tiebreaker to defeat the Warhawks 7-0.

Tuesday Recap | Women def. Carleton, 4-3 | Men lost to Carleton, 3-4
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's tennis team began their annual spring break competition against Carleton College in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The Warhawk women won 4-3 against the 33rd-ranked Knights, but the men fell 3-4 in two close matches against the Knights.

The women's team picked up the doubles point with a three flight sweep over the knights. Gracie Ha (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) and Abigail Weaver (Wakarusa, Ind./Mishawaka Marian) set the momentum at the top flight with a 6-2 win over Carleton's top pair.

Gracie Ha (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) and Molly Asfeld (Waukesha, Wis./West) took their matches in straight sets to bring the Warhawks up to four team points to clinch the match. Ha only dropped three games int he first set, winning her second set 6-0. Asfeld won both sets with a 6-3 score. 

The men's team lost the doubles point with Carleton picking up the second and third flights. Theo Billson (Lindfield, England/BHASVIC) and Carter Michaels (Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Eagan) forced their match into the tiebreaker, but the Knights pair picked up the doubles sweep with a 8-6 tiebreaker for the 7-6(6) victory. 

Charles Morgan (Naperville, Ill./Central) and Keith Moeller (Dallas, Tex./DKM-I University Prep) shifted the momentum to the Warhawks side, both with quick straight set wins at their singles flight. Morgan only dropped one game in the second set with a 6-0, 6-1 victory. Moeller won the sixth singles flight 6-1, 6-1. Theo Billson (Lindfield, England/BHASVIC) was able to get the Warhawks to three team points with a third set tiebreaker win. Billson won his match 6-1, 2-6, (10-6). 

The Knights were able to close out the match with the remaining three single matches to take the dual 4-3. 

The Warhawks will return to the courts tomorrow for their next match. The men will play Augustana College at 9 AM (ET) in Hilton Head with the women's team facing Colby College at 11 AM (ET) on Wednesday, March 25th.
