Related Links:Final Results Reading, PA. – The No. 7 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's bowling team placed sixth overall out of 17 teams at the Kutztown Invitational hosted by Kutztown University.
The Warhawks tallied a 3-2 record on the final day of competition in five traditional matches. UW-Whitewater's cumulative two day pin total was 4,959. The meet was originally a three day event but the second day was canceled due to inclement weather in the area. Fairleigh Dickinson University took home fifth place with a total score of 4,986.
McKendree University won the invite with a total team score of 5,409.
Opening the day with a victory over Franklin Pierce University by a score of 1,015-932. The Warhawks then defeated the University of Maryland at Eastern Shore by a score of 1,005-913.
UW-Whitewater dropped their next two matches against Delaware State University and Fairleigh Dickinson University. The Warhawks were defeated by Delaware State in a thriller by a score of 936-946. Fairleigh Dickinson then defeated UW-Whitewater in another close match by a score of 1,054-1,076.
The Warhawks bounced back by defeating Vanderbilt University in the closest match of the day by a score of 949-944.
UW-Whitewater will be back in action on February 12-14th when they travel to the Stephen F. Austin Lady Jacks Invitational in Houston, Texas.
