The Warhawks (18-4 overall), who are ranked sixth in the Central Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, finished 1-2 for the weekend in Missouri. On Saturday, UW-Whitewater downed 38th-ranked Texas-Tyler and was knocked off by No. 11 Washington-St. Louis, the region's No. 1 team.
The Maroons (10-9), slotted third in the region, won all three tightly contested doubles matches to take a 3-0 advantage. Sophomore

Bridgid McGuire (Slinger/Slinger) held a 6-5 lead against Ariana Iranpour and Megan Tang, the region's No. 3 doubles pair, but dropped the last three games to fall 8-6.
The Warhawks forced third sets in two different singles matches, but were unable to pick up a point in singles play.
McGuire forced a third set at the second slot, but was outlasted 2-6, 6-2, 1-0 (11-9) by Jasmine Lee. Sophomore
Rachel Siemon (Crystal Lake, IL/South) forced a third set before falling 6-1, 2-6, 1-0 (10-7) against Maggie Schumann.
UW-Whitewater returns to action next Sunday against Carthage, the region's No. 13 team, at 9 a.m. and Carroll at 12 p.m. in Kenosha, Wis.
