Bowling Third Through Two Days at Crusader Classic

The No. 1/7 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater bowling team will compete in the championship bracket Sunday after a strong second day at the Crusader Classic in Valparaiso, Ind.
 
The Warhawks finished 3-2 in traditional matches Saturday, defeating Aurora (Ill.), Elmhurst (Ill.) and third-ranked Arkansas State. The team ranks third out of 14 teams.
 
Senior Lindsay Rusch (Appleton, Wis./Kimberly) led UW-Whitewater and ranks fourth overall with an average of 213.6. Junior Amanda Van Duyn (Kenosha/Kenosha Bradford) is seventh overall with a 207.2 average, while classmate Taylor Hoppe (Rockford, Ill./Thomas Jefferson) is 16th with a 196.2.
 
The Warhawks will begin best-of-seven Baker matches Sunday against No. 1 Nebraska. Play is set to begin at 8:55 a.m. Central Time.
