Related Links:Results The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's swimming and diving teams went on the road this weekend to compete in a WIAC dual meet against UW-Stevens Point.
The Women's team defeated UW-Stevens Point 120.95-117, while the men's team lost 176-67.
Junior Daniel Bielski highlighted the Warhawk men's showing, finishing first in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 54.59. Bielski also took third in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:04.42. Freshman
Sam Douglass (Grafton, Wis./Cedarburg) took first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 47.90. Douglass also took third in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.11.
Senior
Riley Maher (Darien, Ill./Hinsdale South) took third in the 3-meter dive with a score of 226.95. Maher placed fourth in the 1-meter dive with a score of 220.55.
One the women's side, freshman
Erin Hawker (Chanhassen, Minn./Hutchinson) highlighted the Warhawks with first and second place finishes. Hawker won the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:14.89, in the 100-yard breaststroke she took second with a time of 1:09.67.
Junior
Sarah Arteaga (Greenfield/Whitnall) had a couple of second place finishes on the day. In the 200-yard IM she finished a second behind Hawker with a time of 2:15.52, while taking second in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:03.77. Senior
Stacey Kincade (Milton/Milton) took second in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:00.37.
Senior
Sierra Becker (River Falls, Wis./River Falls) won the 1-meter dive with a score of 247.90. Becker took second in the 3-meter dive with a score of 218.05.
UW-Whitewater will be back in action December 4-5th at the Wheaton (Ill.) Invitational.
