The No.1/7 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater bowling team moved up one spot to second place after day two of the Big Red Invite in Lincoln, Neb.
The Warhawks tallied a 4-2 record on the second day of six traditional matches. UW-Whitewater's cumulative score of 5,853 trail the University of Nebraska by 219 pins. The Cornhuskers had a team score of 6,072.
After opening the day with a victory over Lincoln (Mo.) 767-1,003, UW-Whitewater was downed by Nebraska in a close match 1,017-974.
The Warhawks were then defeated 1,032-926 against Central Missouri, but rebounded one match later with an 872-1,022 triumph over No. 15 Valparaiso.
UW-Whitewater finished the day off with two victories over No. 6 Sam Houston State 884-947, and No. 2 Arkansas State 915-981.
