Team season best performances from
Aisha Coleman (Janesville/Craig) and
Lacy Beck (Hebron, IL/Alden-Hebron) highlighted the UW-Whitewater Drake Alternative Meet Saturday at
the Rex Foster Track in Whitewater, Wisconsin. Coleman placed second in the triple jump with her mark of 37-0.75, and Beck earned the runnerup spot in the javelin with her toss of 101-6.
Shelby Mahr (Boyd/Stanley-Boyd) added first place finishes in two events for the Warhawks, capturing the shot put at 48-0.5 and the discus with her best of 143-8.

The Warhawk duo also finished third and sixth, respectively, in the hammer throw, with Mahr marking 162-1.5 and Miskowicz 148-11. In addition to Beck,
Liberty Wieseman (Lake Geneva/Badger) was also noteworthy in the throws, placing sixth in the javelin at 94-6.
Other top finishers for UW-Whitewater included the 4x400 meter relay of
Ariel Altergott (Genoa City/Badger),
Amber Athey (Adams/Adams-Friendship),
Sarah Kasiurak (Bartlett, IL/Bartlett) and
Elizabeth Klicker (Cary, IL/Cary-Grove), who crossed the line second in 4:22.53. Also third place by
Meredith Heller (Hales Corners/Whitnall) in the 400 hurdles in 1:05.89, just off her team season best of 1:05.65.
Amy Kahl (Huntley, IL/Huntley) took fourth place in the 1500 meters with her time of 4:55.72.
Whitewater also did well in the 400 meters, with
Lauren Mosher (Sleepy Hollow, IL/Dundee Crown) (1:02.37),
Nicole Maggiori (Menomonee Falls/Sussex Hamilton) (1:03.54), and
Sara Knapp (Kenosha/Tremper) (1:03.94) going 5-6-7.
UW-Whitewater split its track and field teams, both women and men, this weekend, with some competing in Whitewater and others at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa.
No team scores were kept in the Whitewater Drake Alternative Meet.
The Warhawk women's track and field team will compete in
the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference outdoor championship Friday and Saturday, May 2-3,
at UW-Oshkosh.
