Shelby Mahr (Boyd/Stanley-Boyd) turned in a first place finish and two second place finishes to lead the Warhawks to a second place finish out of ten teams at the Augustana Women's Invitational Thursday in Rock Island, Illinois. Mahr recorded a distance of 52.67m (172' 10"), the longest throw in the WIAC and sixth longest in the country, in the hammer throw to take first place. She finished second in the discus, 43.65m (143' 2"), and second in the shot put, 13.87m (45' 6.25"). Her discus toss is the second best in the WIAC this season and ninth best in the nation.

Amy Kahl (Huntley, IL/Huntley) (11:36.65). Kahl's time in the steeplechase ranks number one on the WIAC honor roll while Brom's time in the 800m ranks second. Linse also added a fifth place finish in the long jump with a distance of 5.13m (16' 10").
Beth Dreikosen (Sheboygan/North) and
Jennifer Rathsack (Plymouth/Plymouth) each turned in two top seven finishes. Dreikosen finished fourth in the 400m (1:00.05) and fifth in the 200m (26.47). Rathsack finished sixth in the 100m (12.07) and seventh in the 200m (26.57).
Meredith Heller (Hales Corners/Whitnall) added eight team points with a second place finish in the 400m hurdles crossing the finish line in a time of 1:05.65 and teammates
Mary Kate Bernier (Racine/Case) (10,000m - 39:57.57),
Melanie Pilon (Waukesha/South) (pole vault - 3.51m), and
Aisha Coleman (Janesville/Craig) (triple jump - 10.87m) each turned in a third place finish.
Monmouth won the meet with 206 points. UW-W finished second with 169.66 while host Augustana was right behind in third with 168 points.
The women will compete again when they travel to Des Moines, Iowa for the Drake Relays spanning April 24-26.
